Plaintiffs’ Families Amicus Brief in Zurawski v. State of Texas

Amici are family members of plaintiffs in the case, including partners, husbands, and mothers. The brief details how suffering that results from Texas’s bans extends beyond the pregnant patient to family members who are themselves subject to the stress, anguish, and terror of their loved one being denied basic healthcare when experiencing serious pregnancy complications, risking severe illness or death. The stories in this brief show the consequences the abortion bans impose upon all Texans, not only people that can and do become pregnant.
