Tell Congress: We Need the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA)
Congress must act to protect abortion rights and access in every state.
In June 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court took away the constitutional right to abortion, paving the way for states to ban abortion outright—a step that twelve states have already taken. The U.S. Congress can and should act immediately to re-establish a nationwide right to abortion in the U.S.
The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) is federal legislation that would protect abortion access in every U.S. state, despite the Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe. Equal access to abortion care—everywhere—is essential for social and economic equality, reproductive autonomy, and the right to determine our own lives.
