Gabriel Lee
Digital Designer
Gabriel joined the Center in 2017 as a Digital Designer,
supporting the work of the digital and design teams while helping expand the
Center’s online presence. They are responsible for the implementation of
designs for a wide range of projects, including but not limited to web
projects, email graphics and templates, social media graphics, online
newsletters, and video and online campaigns.
Prior to joining the Center, Gabriel supported design and
communications needs at immigrant rights and LGBTQ nonprofit organizations.
While at Immigration Equality, they developed messaging for a successful
campaign for a hundred-organization coalition to block a planned unit for
transgender women at a notoriously unsafe detention facility. At the National
LGBTQ Task Force, they worked with the groundbreaking National Transgender
Discrimination Survey to create accessible advocacy tools, focusing on
communities of color domestically and internationally. They continue to be
involved in the queer movement as a volunteer, designer, and artist.
They received a B.A. from UCLA’s multidisciplinary Design | Media
Arts program, with a concentration in graphic design.
