We’re Not Going Back

Last night, Nancy Northup, President and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights, appeared on the Rachel Maddow show and talked about newly passed, extreme anti-abortion laws in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Missouri.

“Every one of these laws is going to be challenged, and every one of these laws is going to be blocked,” she said. She next pointed out that at the same time, recent proactive strategies, including planned federal legislation to protect access to abortion, and a recent state-level constitutional win in Kansas (led by the Center), are upholding women’s reproductive freedom. “Women in the United States are not going back,” she said.
