United States: Texas abortion ban upheld

Green Left quoted an interview with Center President and CEO Nancy Northup for DemocracyNow! on Texas’s abortion ban and its provision that allows anyone, including complete strangers, to sue someone who helps a woman obtain an abortion after six weeks of pregnancy. “You can just be a person who every day goes outside a woman’s clinic, yelling and screaming and trying to stop women from getting abortions,” said Northup.
