Statement on the Passing of Andrea Miller
The Center for Reproductive Rights mourns the passing of Andrea Miller.
Andrea was one of the small group of the Center for Reproductive Rights’ trailblazing founding members in 1992 and our first Head of Communications. Her commitment and passion for reproductive freedom was at the heart of a remarkable career that spanned over three decades culminating in her 12 years leading the National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) and its Action Fund (NIRH AF).
A valued partner for all organizations and activities working in a cause she helped lead, Andrea was bold, kind, collaborative, warm and funny. She cared deeply about the people she worked with inside and outside the organizations she worked for tirelessly and with unwavering conviction.
Andrea always spoke with great pride of the role she played in founding the Center and we are incredibly proud of the contributions she made to our organization and our cause. She has left an indelible mark on our progress for reproductive freedom and will be deeply missed.
