Revoking Biden-era executive orders protecting access to reproductive healthcare
Executive Order 14182
President Trump issued an Executive Order revoking two Biden-era executive orders designed to protect and expand access to reproductive healthcare. Executive Order 14076 (“Protecting Access to Reproductive Healthcare Services”) had established a comprehensive, whole-of-government approach to expanding access to abortion, including by establishing the Interagency Task Force on Reproductive Healthcare Access. Executive Order 14079 (“Securing Access to Reproductive and Other Healthcare Services”) had expanded on Order 14076 by directing the Secretary of HHS to consider additional ways to further protect and expand access to reproductive healthcare services. Revocation of these Executive Orders lays the groundwork for the Trump administration to begin rolling back policies promulgated in the Biden administration under the authority of these executive orders.
