So Many FOIAs, So Little Transparency: FY26 FOIA By the Numbers
- Publication

The Center has been using the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to hold the Trump administration accountable. Here are the stats on our FOIA requests in FY26.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is a law that allows anybody—including organizations—to request access to federal agency records to ensure government transparency. The Center for Reproductive Rights has been filing FOIA requests during this Trump Administration to conduct oversight, to identify and expose wrongdoing, and hold the Trump administration accountable.
We have sent FOIAs to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as the Department of Justice (DOJ), the State Department, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), among others.
