Letter to the Slovak Parliament on behalf of 110 organizations, including the Center for Reproductive Rights, regarding a draft bill entitled Návrh skupiny poslancov Národnej rady Slovenskej republiky na vydanie zákona o pomoci tehotným ženám, Print no. 665 (31.08.2021) that the Parliament will discuss at the October session.

The letter expresses concern that if adopted the legislation will harm women’s health, obstruct their access to safe abortion care and violate Slovakia’s international human rights obligations. This draft bill also contradicts the World Health Organization guidelines and clinical best practices.
