On October 17-18, 2016, the United Nations Human Rights Committee questioned Polish officials as a part of periodic review of Poland’s compliance with its human rights obligations. The Center for Reproductive Rights with local partners sumittied a report to the UN Committee ahead of the review to bring attention to serious reproductive rights violations stemming from Poland’s restrictive abortion laws.
