About the report
This brief report provides a nationwide snapshot of 2025 state legislative trends impacting access to abortion, assisted reproduction, and maternal health care. The trends included in this snapshot remain active in 2026 and are being closely monitored and analyzed by the Center and our partners. Throughout the snapshot, the Center’s distinct role in driving several of these policies forward is highlighted.
The snapshot reflects the deep interconnectedness of these heavily legislated reproductive rights issues within the following themes:
