Amici are the National Advocates for Pregnant Women and other organizations that advocate for the health, rights, and justice of all people in the United States who have the capacity to become pregnant.

This brief explains that even with Roe and Casey in place, people have been widely subject to coercive state power and civil and criminal prosecutions because of their pregnancy or outcomes related to their pregnancy, such as stillbirth or miscarriage. Amici argue that the consequences of overruling Roe would be far-reaching and disastrous for people who are pregnant and do not need an abortion, as it would entail abandoning the foundational premises that guarantee equal rights and dignity of all pregnant and birthing people.
