This brief was filed on behalf of over 20 Food and Drug Law Scholars.

The brief states that Congress has vested FDA with the authority to approve and regulate prescription drugs based on scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness, that the FDA’s approval and continued regulation of mifepristone is consistent with federal food and drug law, and that the remedies adopted by the District Court were statutorily improper and would undermine drug development and public health.
