Religious Organizations Amicus Brief

Amici are religious organizations from a broad range of faiths including Catholics, Methodists, Muslims, Presbyterians, the United Church of Christ, the Unitarian Universalist Association, and the principle Rabbinical organizations of Conservative, Reform, and Reconstructionist Judaism.

The brief demonstrates that religious groups in this country hold differing views about abortion, and that there is substantial agreement among many people of faith that women have a moral right to make their own decisions on this issue.

Amici explain that they support the right to decide to terminate a pregnancy because of, not in spite of, their religious views.
