Vivian Siu
Chief Marketing and Communications Officer
Vivian Siu is an award-winning journalist with more than 15 years of diverse communications experience for organizations around the globe. At The Intercept, Siu developed a cohesive communications strategy to advance its brand as a bold, fearless and adversarial news outlet. Prior to that, Siu was Director of Content Strategy, Production at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund, where she strengthened the public’s perception of the organization.
Siu also worked with UNICEF to help develop a holistic communications strategy to further the organization’s mission in protecting the rights of every child around the world. She has on-the-ground experience in a range of countries in Africa, Central America, the Middle East, and Europe.
Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Siu worked as a journalist at NBC News, NBC Olympics, ABC News and PBS. She is a graduate of Barnard College and also holds a Master’s Degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University.
As Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Siu will serve as member of the Center’s Executive Team and lead the Center’s communications department to further raise visibility for our work protecting reproductive rights worldwide.
