RoAnn Costin
RoAnn Costin is a venture capitalist and philanthropist. She is the founder and president of Wilderness Point Investments which focuses on investing in early and expansion stage consumer non-durable product and retailing companies. She has also invested in and served on the boards of Lululemon Athletica, Genuine Health International, 2020 Onsite Optometry and Sarah Flint, Inc. and others. Ms. Costin began her business career working for State Street Research and Management Co., an investment management company. She was the first female investment analyst, portfolio manager and partner at the firm. She later joined the Putnam Companies, where she was a member of the Quality Growth group and co-managed the U.S. equity portion of the Putnam International Fund. Prior to her career in business, Ms. Costin worked in government at the federal level in the office of Rep. Michael J. Harrington (D-Mass.) and at the local level for the city of Boston. She also took part in the formative years of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, working as the executive associate to the dean of the school. Ms. Costin is a graduate of Harvard University and received her M.B.A. from Stanford University. (Cambridge, MA)
