Prabhakar joined the Center in May, 2017. In his role, he will be working to expand national advocacy on reproductive rights and justice by forgiving strategic alliances with a broad range of partners.
Before joining the center, Prabhakar worked with Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities (CREHPA) a research organization with expertise in reproductive health. Prabhakar was part of the series of qualitative and quantitative research and program on abortion, family planning, girl trafficking and child marriage. He designed a series of training curricula and has trained a large number of stakeholders on abortion rights at different levels. He has also co-authored several articles on expanding medical abortion services through mid-level health providers in rural area of Nepal including, Road map to scaling-up: translating operations research study’s results into actions for expanding medical abortion services in rural health facilities in Nepal.
Prabhakar has a Master’s degree in Public Administration and has Bachelor’s in Law from Tribhuvan University of Nepal.
Prabhakar is fluent in English, Nepali and Hindi.
