Nicolas Kabat
Staff Attorney
Nick joined the Center in 2022 and assists with all aspects of the Center’s U.S. litigation.
Nick came from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where he worked on a variety of matters, including anti-gun violence litigation, asylum, and parole denial appeals. Previously, he clerked for the Honorable Gabriel W. Gorenstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and interned for the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and the National Housing Law Project.
Nick graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law, a pro bono consultant to the Ann Arbor Human Rights Council, co-founder and co-president of the Racial Justice Coalition, and a recipient of the Dores McCree Award. Nick also received an M.U.P. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo.
