Mary Gaichiri, Program Associate for Africa

Mary joined the Center in 2016 and is responsible for providing administrative and programmatic support to the Africa team. She acts as logistics coordinator for trainings and convenings, and contributes to monitoring of program budgets as well as monitoring and evaluation for the Africa Program.

Before joining the Center, Mary worked as an administrative assistant with United Nations Support Office in Somalia. Prior to that, she worked as a Project Coordinator at the Rotary Club Nairobi and Finance and Administration Officer at the Northern Nomadic Disabled Persons’ Organization. She has primarily worked in peace keeping programs doing community project implementation, managing project consultants, and general administrative work. 

Mary holds a B.S. Community Resource Management from Kenyatta University in Kenya and is also a trained Certified Public Accountant as well as a trained Monitoring and Evaluation Practitioner.

She is fluent in Swahili and English.
