Lori Evans Bernstein

Lori Evans Bernstein is a healthcare executive with 30 years of experience, driven by a lifelong mission to expand access to high-quality, affordable care—especially for women and underserved communities. As an entrepreneur, operator, and government leader, she has built and led innovative companies at the intersection of technology, AI, clinical care, and public health. Her work has advanced women’s health, chronic disease prevention, and technology-driven system change. She is currently launching a women’s health AI company.
Most recently, Lori was Co-Founder & CEO of Caraway Health, a pioneering women’s healthcare company acquired by Summer Health in 2025. Under her leadership, Caraway raised $30M in seed and Series A funding and was named one of CB Insights’ Top 50 Most Promising Digital Health Companies in 2022 and 2023. The company was also recognized on Digital Health New York’s (DHNY) Top 100 list in 2024. Prior to Caraway, Lori co-founded and served as President of HealthReveal, a clinical AI company focused on preventing and managing chronic disease in partnership with patients and health systems. HealthReveal was acquired by Accolade (NASDAQ: ACCD), a leader in personalized health and benefits, and is now part of Transcarent, a comprehensive care platform for employees of self-insured employers. She also held leadership roles at Aetna/CVS Health, where she helped advance tech-enabled, patient-centered care solutions. Lori brought her entrepreneurial spirit to government, leading federal and state health tech policy to drive innovation, expand access, and modernize care delivery. She served as Senior Advisor to the nation’s first health tech “Czar” at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and was appointed New York State’s first Deputy Commissioner of Health IT Transformation. Lori is deeply committed to advancing gender equity and human rights and has served on nonprofit boards, including most recently Sanctuary for Families, a leading human rights organization combating domestic violence, sex trafficking, and gender-based violence. She also co-founded Women’s Healthcare Leaders for Progress, an initiative dedicated to strengthening women’s health, equality, and leadership. (New York, NY)
