Karin joined the Center in 2019 and is responsible for strategic partnership development with governments, multilateral agencies and civil society organizations. She is part of the Center’s Institutional Partnership team which aims to increase the visibility of the Center’s global work and build partnerships across a diverse set of health, human rights, and humanitarian actors. She is leading and supporting the technical development of the Center’s strategies and result framework related to sustainable funding within the context of Agenda 2030, ICPD Programme of Action, and Beijing Platform for Action.
Karin is also leading the support provided to regional teams in Africa, Asia and Latin America in coordinating and advancing government partnerships, external communication and engagement with donors, international civil society organizations, and agencies within International Development Cooperation.
Prior to working at the Center, she has over the last 15 years been working as senior policy adviser, programme and communication manager, and expert consultant on sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, education and human rights within international development cooperation and UN policy development. Karin has in these roles been working for UNESCO, OECD DAC, UNCEF, IPPF, Aids Accountability International, and civil society organizations in France, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Malaysia and Sweden. Karin’s native tongue is Swedish, she speaks English and Spanish fluently, and has a good understanding of French.
