Jill Russell
Senior Director, Institutional Partnerships
Jill joined the Center in 2018. Working from her home in Europe, Jill is responsible for coordinating anew external relations function that aims to increase visibility, influence and funding in order to grow the impact of the Center’s global programs in Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. She also oversee the Center’s US-based team managing funding and relationships with a list of existing (mostly US Foundations) institutional funders.
Jill is a leader in managing complex international development programs for numerous donors across the globe. Prior to working at the Center she was the U.K. director of Abt Associates, a global firm and leader in research and large-scale project implementation worldwide. Previously, she served as the associate director at the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, where she led a multi-disciplinary team in research, monitoring and evaluation in areas such as HIV, reproductive health, social inclusion, gender empowerment and human rights. She also served as the head of new business development at the organisation for six years.
Jill holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, a Masters in Health and Social Service Administration from the George Washington University, and a Masters in International Executive Management from the Lancaster University Management School in the UK.
Jill native tongue is English and she also speaks Spanish and is learning French.
