Senior Federal Legislative Strategist, Women's Health Protection Act Campaign Manager
As manager of the Act for Women Campaign, Jackie leads the Center’s efforts to support the Women’s Health Protection Act, federal legislation to protect the right to access abortion free from medically unnecessary restrictions and bans on abortion. In this role, she organizes coalition activities and works with Congress. Jackie also serves as Federal Legislative Strategist and works on additional proactive abortion legislation on behalf of the Center. Jackie joined the Center for Reproductive Rights from the National Abortion Federation where she lobbied on behalf of abortion providers as Federal Policy Director. Previously, Jackie advocated for foreign policy issues in Congress as the Associate Director of Government Affairs for J Street in Washington, DC. Jackie’s work in policy began in the office of Congressman Jerrold Nadler of New York City. As the Community Liaison for Rep. Nadler, Jackie supported community initiatives on the Upper West Side and Lower Manhattan. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University in Middle Eastern and Islamic Civilization Studies and Religion and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Glasgow.
