Hannah Tennies
Senior Coordinator, U.S. Federal Policy & Advocacy
Hannah joined the U.S. Federal Policy & Advocacy Team in 2024 and is responsible for coordinating all of the team’s administrative advocacy, including regulatory tracking, administrative relationship-building, and strategic planning.
Prior to the Federal Policy & Advocacy Team Hannah spent 6 and a half years on the Lawyers Network Team at the Center for Reproductive Rights, working to further the Lawyers Network’s goal of increasing understanding, engagement, and support for the Center’s work among legal leaders across the United States. Hannah also oversaw the Center’s engagement with law students and law student organizations, helping build awareness for reproductive rights issues among future lawyers.
Hannah joined the Center from the National Organization for Women (NOW), where she worked on the Policy and Grassroots Outreach team. Prior to NOW, Hannah interned for the National Partnership for Women and Families and for Senator Barbara Mikulski. Hannah received her B.A. in Political Science and Sociology as well as a Certificate in Women, Policy, and Political Leadership from American University. Hannah currently serves as a volunteer travel coordinator for the Northwest Abortion Access Fund and previously served on the board of the Women’s Information Network (WIN).
