Ellen Okamoto
Senior Events Manager
Ellen Okamoto comes to the Center after spending six years working for Edible Schoolyard NYC, an organization that supports edible education for public school students from disinvested neighborhoods in NYC. During her tenure she produced fundraising events of various sizes and styles. She also oversaw communications strategy, founded and ran their young professionals board.
Prior to her work in non-profit development, Ellen spent a decade working for some of the most well-regarded restaurant groups in the world, including Union Square Hospitality Group and Eleven Madison Park. She is deeply passionate about community culture and loves to bring her hospitality background to her development work.
