Dr. Mwaba P. Kasese-Bota
Dr. Mwaba P. Kasese-Bota is a Harvard Advanced Leadership Fellow (2020) and the founder of the Zambian Centre for Innovation Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development. She has a wealth of expertise in global leadership, social justice, and social impact programs. She served as Zambia’s Ambassador to the United Nations and held various positions including chairing the Global Bureau of Land-Locked Developing Countries and Vice President of the UNICEF Executive Board. She co-facilitated the 2016 high-level meeting on HIV/AIDS and chaired the 49th Commission on Population and Development. She co-chaired the resolution on ending child, early, and forced marriages. A medical doctor and epidemiologist, Dr. Bota is a recognized expert on social development and public health. She has previously worked for the USAID, UNICEF, and Government of Zambia.
