David Moren
Senior Major Gifts Officer, Bay Area
David joined the Center in 2023 and is responsible for major gifts fundraising in Northern California. He is also the fundraising lead for the Center’s San Francisco Benefit.
Prior to joining the Center, he spent six years at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, working with donors and alumni from around the world as well as co-leading a variety of school and campus-wide DEI efforts. Immediately prior to Haas, David served as the Bay Area Executive Director at Generation Citizen, focused on action-based civics education for middle and high school youth, during which time was also a Citizenship Fellow with the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. He was also selected as a 3-year national Racial Equity Fellow with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Prior to that he spent seven years helping run Experience Corps Bay Area (now part of AARP), which leverages the human capital of Baby Boomers to provide literacy support for underserved elementary school students.
He is a graduate of UC San Diego, where he earned a BA in Media Studies, and currently resides in Berkeley, California with his wife and two school-aged boys.
