Barnaba Shokole
Senior Manager, Global Institutional Funding
Barnaba joined the center in September 2021 and is based in Nairobi within the Centers global hub in Africa. As the Senior Manager Global Institutional Funding Barnaba manages a portfolio of foundations and bilateral funders support. He is expanding engagement to diversify and strengthen our donor base and strategic partnerships to support the Center’s mission and goals across the globe.
Prior to joining the Center Barnaba was working for the United Kingdoms’ Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) as a Programme officer in the Economic development team covering the Horn of Africa Region. Before the FCDO, Barnaba had accumulated extensive experience in Humanitarian response having worked with International non-governmental humanitarian agencies including Save the Children, Lutheran World federation, German Agro Action and the Consortia of British Humanitarian agencies.
Barnaba holds a B.A. in Sociology from Egerton University and an M.A in project planning and management from the University of Nairobi.
