Ame Bora
Senior Development Coordinator
Ame Bora is the Development Department Senior Coordinator. She has ten years’ experience working in clinical and program settings related to family planning, sexual health psychoeducation and reproductive health. Ame most recently worked at the Center for Comprehensive Health Practice as a counselor in the outpatient clinic, providing psychotherapy and facilitating support groups for addicts and those impacted by family use. As the Economic Empowerment Coordinator at Womankind (formerly the NY Asian Women’s Center) she supported survivors of gender-based violence on all economic empowerment related issues. In her role, she conducted outreach to community organizations, nonprofits and financial institutions, supported fundraising to identify funding sources and assisted with grant proposal writing, and developed and facilitated train the trainer modules for direct service staff. Ame has a Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University, Douglass College.
