Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Texas and Neighboring States Amicus Brief
Amici are Planned Parenthood affiliates who provide comprehensive reproductive health care in Texas and nearby States. Through dozens of first-hand accounts from patients and clinic staff obstructed by S.B.8, this brief conveys the dire circumstances faced by Texas patients being denied abortions, the harrowing obstacles to traveling for care out of state, and the trauma experienced by clinic staff who are on the front lines of informing patients that they cannot receive constitutionally protected healthcare in their home state.
