News Coverage: Center Argues Case at Texas Supreme Court

The Texas Supreme Court heard arguments November 28 in Zurawski v. State of Texas, the Center’s case on behalf of Texas physicians and patients denied medically necessary abortion care. The argument was on the state’s appeal of an injunction issued in August, which blocked Texas’s abortion bans as they apply to patients with dangerous pregnancy complications. The appeal blocked the injunction from taking effect, leaving the state’s abortion bans in place.
