On what would have been the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, President Trump celebrated his administration’s actions weakening protections for reproductive health and rights, including expanding enforcement of the Hyde Amendment, reinstating the Global Gag Rule, and pardoning violent FACE Act violators. President Trump called Roe a “moral and constitutional atrocity” and said he was “proud” to have appointed three of the Supreme Court Justices who went on to decide Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe.
