Marc Hearron, senior counsel for the Center for Reproductive Rights, was interviewed for this LA Times opinion piece titled “Texas wants its citizens to enforce a new abortion ban, and we should all be concerned.” Addressing how the law was designed to make it harder to overturn, Hearron states, “They’re basically trying to get around federal court review. They know this is a blatantly unconstitutional law, and they know that if they had gone the same route as all of the other states, they would have had no chance of success.”
