The Center for Reproductive Rights submitted a comment opposing the Federal Financial Assistance proposed rule issued jointly by the Office of Management and Budget, Departments of Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs, State, and more. The comment discusses how the proposed rule imposes restrictions on abortion beyond what Congress has authorized, circumventing the legislative process. It also highlights how limits on abortion and gender-affirming care access would exacerbate existing health care disparities and is designed to advance an anti-rights agenda. Moreover, the comment focuses on how the proposed rule is in violation of the Administrative Procedure Act for being arbitrary, capricious, and not in accordance with law and calls for a complete recission of the rule.
