International Women’s Day, March 8, celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the globe.

On this day and every day, the Center for Reproductive Rights is working to improve lives across the globe so every person can participate as an equal member of society, regardless of gender.

This means:

• Seeking justice and rights protections for adolescent girls who were sexually assaulted and forced to give birth in Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Guatemala.
• Leading a program to improve reproductive health services for Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
• Fighting in court to affirm the right to respectful maternal health care in Kenya.
• Engaging with European Union institutions and member states to remove barriers to reproductive care facing refugees from Ukraine.
• Challenging extreme state abortion bans in the United States so women in dire situations can get the medically necessary care they need to protect their health, lives and future fertility.
• Convening with United Nations representatives and other stakeholders to advance gender equality and women’s rights.

Reproductive rights are human rights, no matter where you live.
