During a trip to the Philippines last spring, the Center endeavored to document the sights and experiences of women living under the country’s blanket ban on abortion.

In addition to a powerful video shot in the streets of Manila and its surrounding areas, the Center also captured still photographs to tell the stories of Filipino women seeking illegal abortion, and what it’s like to be denied quality care after an unsafe abortion.
