Executive order mandating that the federal government recognizes only two genders, “male and female.” This EO ignores the existence of intersex individuals, promotes outdated sex stereotypes, and encourages discrimination against transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people. It also uses language that attempts to normalize the concept of personhood at conception and lay the groundwork for additional bans on access to reproductive health care.
