The Department of Justice (DOJ) fired several U.S. Attorneys who prosecuted anti-abortion extremists for attacking abortion clinics. These are the same extremists President Trump pardoned last year after they were convicted for violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. Many of those pardoned were serving prison sentences for physically blocking patients from accessing their doctors. Some of the offenses committed include breaking into clinics, stealing fetal tissue, and accosting pregnant patients. Read our full statement here. 

Shortly after Trump’s second term began, DOJ issued an order informing the Department’s prosecutors to cease enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act or “FACE Act” barring “extraordinary circumstances” or in cases presenting “significant aggravating factors.”
