Daisy Chain Fields Recap: Joy, Activism, and Reproductive Rights
- Story

This summer, the Center for Reproductive Rights was honored to join Olivia Rodrigo as a nonprofit partner at Daisy Chain Fields music festival—a celebration of women and girls by women and girls.
On August 29, 2026, Daisy Chain Fields musical festival united tens of thousands of people to celebrate, connect, and show their support for women’s rights. An all-female lineup rocked the stages while ten nonprofits, including the Center for Reproductive Rights, shared their work at the festival’s philanthropy village. The Center was thrilled to be a part of this moment and extends a sincere thank you to Olivia Rodrigo for using her platform to uplift reproductive rights.

At the Center’s booth, festivalgoers customized bandanas, explored our interactive “Does Your State Love You or Love You Not?” map engaging with the reality of reproductive rights across the country, and learned more about our international work. More than 600 people added stickers to their home states on the map, sparking conversations about what reproductive freedom looks like where they live.

The festival raised $10 million for the ten organizations, a total then matched by Melinda French Gates. The Center will receive $2 million–an extraordinary testament in support of people who need access to reproductive rights and healthcare around the world.
Festivalgoers, performers, and nonprofit partners came together in joyful resilience, demonstrating the power of community in getting loud about what matters. But don’t take it from us! Here’s what attendees had to say about their reproductive rights:
Attendee voicesReproductive freedom should be a natural human right for all of us. Unfortunately, in today’s day and age, it isn’t in a lot of places. It’s something that we should keep fighting for, because it should be something everyone has access to.
Lilly

Women and girls’ speech, rights, freedoms are more important now than ever…we are not protected. We need to protect each other more than ever before. It is so important to stay together and stay in community; that’s why I’m here.
Taylor

Having reproductive freedom, to me, means having the option and ability to pick for yourself whether or not you want to start a family–at any point in your life. It’s important because it affects everyone, really. I consider it a basic human right.
Jorge

Reproductive freedom is about when I want it, I get to do it. Listen, I’m scared. It’s scary! There’s no support. If you want me to have kids, then you can come and help me. Same thing, if you want to take my rights, you can come and take my period, too! Because it’s not easy!
Tashi

I worked with the Center to sue the state of Texas after I was denied abortion care. I have been fighting for reproductive rights ever since, and I am here at Daisy Chain Fields because I want to support all women and all girls across the country!
Amanda Zurawski, Center plaintiff in Zurawski v. Texas

The majority of my family are women. The best thing I can do to support them is using my privilege to help them keep their reproductive rights. To the politicians who want to take their rights away: it’s not yours to choose. You don’t know how it feels. You don’t know what they’ve experienced or what it’s really like.
Christian

I recently moved from New Jersey to Texas, so reproductive rights and really any human rights have changed significantly… I’m here [at Daisy Chain Fields] because I want to learn more; I want to help people with questions.
Kendall

If I had an option to talk to politicians about reproductive rights, I would try to make them realize this isn’t a matter of morality. It’s a matter of safety, of health. People are dying because they are having their rights taken away and because they don’t have basic access to healthcare. Living in Austin, Texas, I’ve just seen how discouraging living in certain states can be for people with ovaries.
Santiago

To the politicians that want to take my rights: why? It’s not your body, not your choice. It’s as simple as that.
Jasmine

I am so excited that Oliva Rodrigo has put together these incredible female artists to support these incredible organizations. We’ve been following the Center for Reproductive Rights for years. They are fighting the good fight and I’m glad that Olivia Rodrigo is, too!

Looking ahead
Whether at a music festival or in court rooms around the world, the Center will continue its unrelenting advocacy for reproductive rights. We will fight until every person is able to access the full spectrum of reproductive healthcare, on their own terms.
