CMS Comment – Medicaid Work Requirements
- Oversight Actions
The Center for Reproductive Rights submitted a comment in opposition to an Interim Final Rule from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) that imposes work requirements on Medicaid beneficiaries. The comment highlights how work requirements lead to health care coverage loss which negatively impact a person’s overall health and can be particularly detrimental for people who can become pregnant. It also urges CMS to clarify vague and confusing reporting requirements. The comment urges CMS to withdraw the rule.
