Need of Separate Law on Abortion in Nepal, 2015

Publication developed by the Center and jointly published by Reproductive Health Rights Working Groups (RHRWG). The fact sheet presents why specific and comprehensive law on safe abortion is necessary in Nepal and what would be the main issues covered by that law. The fact sheet also briefly discusses an existing legal provision and accessibility of abortion in Nepal, why the Government of Nepal should ensure women’s access to safe abortion services, and what are the issues that cannot be covered by the existing law of Nepal to ensure safe abortion services for women.
