The Center for Reproductive Rights is thrilled to announce that Senior Staff Attorney Molly Duane has been named to TIME’s 2024 TIME100 Next list.
An expansion of the TIME100 list of the most influential people in the world, TIME100 Next highlights 100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of business, entertainment, sports, politics, health, science, activism, and more.
A Center staff member since 2015, Duane is known for her work as lead attorney on such cases as Zurawski v. State of Texas and Cox v. Texas, in which she represented Texas women denied abortion care despite risks to their health and lives. Those and other Center cases seek to clarify the medical exceptions to state abortion bans.
Duane is also profiled, along with the Texas clients, in upcoming documentary film, Zurawski v. Texas, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in September.
The full TIME100 Next list and related tributes appear in the October 14, 2024 issue, available on newsstands October 4, and now at time.com/next.
