Center Launches Regional Video Podcast Featuring Latin American Activists and Changemakers
Hosted by Center leaders in the region, “Mi Decisión” (“My Decision”) explores reproductive rights through a series of intimate conversations.

The Center for Reproductive Rights’ program in Latin America and the Caribbean has launched “Mi Decisión” (“My Decision”), a Spanish-language video podcast featuring Center’s leaders in conversation with activists and changemakers from the region.
Exploring topics such as digital activism and Feminist Theology, each episode applies a unique lens to the issue of reproductive rights, with guests and hosts each bringing their own personal experiences to the dialogue. Intimate, inspiring, and informative, “Mi Decisión” is for veteran activists and curious newcomers alike.

The series introduction features an intimate conversation about life-changing decisions, the necessity of making peace with uncertainty and doubt, and the vital importance of choice. Featuring YouTuber and social media influencer Lucía Beltrán in conversation with the Center’s Catalina Martínez Coral, Regional Vice President; Carmen Cecilia Martínez, Associate Director of Legal Strategies; Fernanda Vanegas Luna, Associate Director of Advocacy and External Relations; and Angélica González Gaitán, Associate Director of Programs.

Episode one centers on the power of feminism to transform our lived experiences, from our mental health to our friendships to our love lives. Featuring writer, content creator, and journalist Mariángela Urbina in conversation with Catalina Martínez Coral.

Episode two investigates feminism in the context of Catholicism, exploring the Church’s traditional view of women before delving into Feminist Theology, which reinterprets the faith through the lens of women’s experiences and has become an ideological framework for feminist activism in the region. Featuring Sandra Mazo, director of Catholics for the Right to Decide, in conversation with Carmen Martínez.
Episode three explores feminism in the digital age, examining the ways social media and the internet are impacting activism’s present and future. It covers the emergence of a new feminist wave, the spread of feminism in pop culture, and the rise of the next generation of activists. Featuring Ita María, writer, activist, co-founder of the collective Las Viejas Verdes, and editor of the magazine Volcánicas, in conversation with Fernanda Vanegas Luna.
