Nepal allows abortion on request within a time limit of 12 weeks. Nepal’s Constitution recognizes the rights to safe motherhood and to reproductive health, which were further expanded by its 2018 law. This followed a groundbreaking Supreme Court decision in 2009 directing the Government to guarantee access to safe and affordable abortion services
