Louisiana’s Three Remaining Abortion Clinics Close, Leaving Neighboring States Without Abortion Clinics for the First Time in 50 Years
The Center’s senior staff attorney Jenny Ma was quoted in an article about the closure and relocation of Louisiana’s three remaining abortion clinics, which shut down as the state’s anti-abortion law goes into effect. The shuttering of these three clinics, combined with the closure of Mississippi’s last clinic, leaves surrounding states without a single abortion clinic for the first time in half a century.
Ma said, “It’s inhumane to have patients living in fear of whether or not they will be able to access reproductive healthcare.”
