For First Time in NCLR’s History, Briefing on Reproductive Rights of Hispanic Women to be Held at Annual Conference
For the first time since the creation of the National Council of La Raza, two organizations focused on women’s reproductive rights issues will host a briefing on the reproductive advancement of Latinas during La Raza’s annual conference.
The Center for Reproductive Rights and the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health are holding this historic briefing on Monday, July 18, 2005 in Philadelphia. The event will focus on the importance of reproductive health and justice in the Latino community as well as the collaborative work being done across the country to advance those rights. The audience will include conference attendees and Latino leaders from Philadelphia’s Hispanic community.
WHAT: Nancy Northup, President, Center for Reproductive Rights and Silvia Henriquez, President of The National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health will host Maria Pesqueria, President of Mujeres Latinas En Accion, a NCLR member organization, in a discussion of the advancement of reproductive rights and justice for Latinas.
