Medical and Public Health Experts Amicus Brief in Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), American Medical Association (AMA) and 10 other organizations representing hundreds of thousands of American physicians and other health care professionals, including thousands of physicians in the fifth circuit, as well-versed professionals in mifepristone’s safety and efficacy, wrote the court with the interest of protecting access to mifepristone and medication abortion both as a matter of policy and as a matter of practice. Ensuring access to evidence-based health care and promoting healthcare policy that improves patient health is central to each organization’s mission.
