Abortion rights have been under attack for years in the United States, through laws that shut down clinics, impose medically unnecessary regulations, and shame women for their decisions. The impact of abortion restrictions have very real social and economic consequences for people’s lives. The Women’s Health Protection Act is a federal legislative response designed to fight back. It is a crucial step toward protecting access to safe, legal, essential reproductive health care and the constitutional rights of every woman in the U.S.—no matter where she lives.
