Disability Rights Organizations Amicus Brief in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health
Brief filed at the U.S. Supreme Court in support of the Center's challenge to Mississippi's pre-viability abortion ban.
Amici are the Autistic Self Advocacy Network and the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund.
Amici address why constitutional protection for bodily autonomy is of vital importance to persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities have long been denied control over their own bodies and face multiple barriers to reproductive health care, including abortion. The dignity of all people with disabilities would be harmed if precedents set in Roe and Casey were overruled or weakened.
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates is pro bono counsel.
