Center’s shadow letter to the ESCR Committee on The Republic of Moldova

In April 2011 the Center for Reproductive Rights and the Moldovan Institute for Human Rights (IDOM) submitted a shadow letter to the 46th session of the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR Committee) on the situation of women and girls’ sexual and reproductive rights in the Republic of Moldova. The letter highlights barriers in access to abortion services, the absence of mandatory sexuality education in schools and the lack of access to affordable modern contraceptives.
